New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, who quit the presidential race Jan. 10, says Barack Obama calls him every three days or so and that about 10 supporters of Hillary Clinton call him every day.

Their goal: obtain his endorsement for president.

The New York Times calls Richardson one of the biggest prospective endorsers in the Democratic Party because he is a former candidate, Hispanic governor and a superdelegate.

Richardson tells the newspaper that he is “genuinely torn.” He says he may make an endorsement next week, or not at all.

The campaigns of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama have tried to get the endorsement of former Vice President Al Gore, but the Nobel Peace Prize winner is refusing to indicate a preference.

In fact, in the past week, Gore and Democratic party leaders have held private talks because some Democrats fear a bitterly divided convention could end up hurting the party in the general election, The New York Times reported Saturday.

Inspired by Barack Obama’s presidential run, a group of Hollywood stars has released a music video centered on his “Yes, we can” message.

An impressive 36 celebrities came together to help will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas create the 4 1/2-minute, black-and-white video. The project adds a melody to footage of Obama’s concession speech after the New Hampshire primary, with celebrities speaking or singing along with his words. It was directed by Bob Dylan’s son, Jesse.

Josh Brolin has several reasons to watch Oscars

While he hasn’t been nominated for any Academy Awards, Josh Brolin may be the actor most connected to the current Oscar nominees.

Brolin obviously made good choices, taking roles in three films with Oscar nominations. He appeared in No Country for Old Men, which was one of the most nominated films of the year, taking eight Academy Awards noms, including best motion picture and best director.

Brolin had a role in In the Valley of Elah, in which Tommy Lee Jones is up for best actor. He also appears opposite Denzel Washington in American Gangster, which picked up two nominations. (Story continues below interactive map.)

Celebrity support, always important in national campaigns, is likely to play an increasing role in the high-cost, heated presidential campaign of 2008.

When it comes to good-looking supporters, Barack Obama leads the pack, with Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Aniston, Halle Berry, Jamie Foxx, and George Clooney. And of course, there’s his powerhouse stumper, Oprah Winfrey.

Who knew Bill Gates could be funny?

In his “last day” video shown at the Consumer Electronics Show Sunday, Gates debuted his comedic side, with the help of some famous friends.

In the video, Gates goes over the opportunities he could possibly pursue after leaving Microsoft full-time. He pumps iron with Matthew McConaughey, raps with Jay-Z, and offers his Guitar Hero skills to U2’s frontman, Bono. After trying to negotiate a biopic with Steven Spielberg and George Clooney, Gates offers his services as a running mate to both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.
