Oliver Stone’s much-anticipated W. does not look like the moneymaker that distributor Lions Gate Entertainment and other backers had hoped for. Still, the studio insists it will continue to back political films, in addition to its usual fare of horror and action adventures.

Michael Moore is releasing a sequel to Fahrenheit 9/11. A continuation of his criticism of the Bush administration, the film will chronicle the time period since the release of Fahrenheit 9/11 in 2004.
