Thanks for your interesting site! Looks like the kind of place my brother would have liked. As an
investigative journalist with the Wall Street Journal he tracked down and shone a light on corrupt politicians and shady corporate deals. Sadly John Wilke just lost his sudden but fierce battle with
pancreatic cancer on Friday. You may be interested in a link showing some of his stories here http://online.wsj.com/public/page/johnwilke.html
Good luck with your venture! Please keep up the good fight!
    All the best to you.

Mark, our deepest sympathies. Your brother was a fine journalist - a model for all of us (despite his affinity for the Boston Red Sox!). Thanks so much for taking the time to write.

Um….ps….there is one major flaw in your website. It is that you do not really have much on the media…there are key elements missing everywhere when it comes to the media. There is no more powerful an organ in the united states than the media. The media is well structured and inter related to a very high degree. It seems to me that editors and news chiefs positions are by appointment only and it is only if you are in league with someone big within the media that you might get to be a member of the media power brokers. Though you do some work on NBC for example, you leave out whole sections of ABC. It would really help the cause of a free and well represented America to make the media more transparent…for an organization that thrives on penetrating every other organization there seems to be precious little about the media that is easily obtained. I believe that by law all media personnel should be made public and the public should have full access to the makeup of the media. Here is where your service can excel and be of truly great service.

    Dear Muckety,

Your charts are incredible! I stumbled on your website by accident, looking for visualization software that could do something like this. Is there a plug-in for wordpress (or something similar for blogging) which can create a visualization like this of tag or other relationships?

    Thanks!

Please help…Love your site. Want to apply interactive map of Eric Schmidt to a PPT presentation for my Global Executive MBA course.

Great question. Muckety maps are ideal for Power Point. Here’s a step-by-step process:

    1. Create your map. You can move the boxes around, delete or expand them, arrange them to make the point you’re trying to illustrate. Then save the map by right-clicking on the map or going to map tools, and choosing “save map.” You’ll be asked to name the map and then you’ll be given the URL where you can see it. Be sure to record the URL. We saved a sample, which has the URL: http://www.muckety.com/7F25D894070299B363B56FFFF92831F2.map.

    2. Browse the map URL to make sure you saved it correctly. Here’s a tip: Click the “View large map” link below the map so you get a bigger view of the map. Save the resulting URL, which will have this format:
    http://www.muckety.com/7F25D894070299B363B56FFFF92831F2.map?big=true

    3. Now save your map as a jpg. To do this, click map tools on the left side of the map and select “Save image.” Name the image and save it to a folder on your computer.

    4. Insert the image in your Power Point presentation. (Insert picture -> from file)

    5. Right click on the image in the Power Point slide, and choose “hyperlink.” In the window that asks for the URL, paste the URL for the big map view:
    http://www.muckety.com/7F25D894070299B363B56FFFF92831F2.map?big=true

    6. Now when you present your ppt slide show, the slide will show a static image of the map. When you click on it, a browser window will open with the interactive map. (This requires an Internet connection, obviously. If you don’t have that, you can just show the static image.)

Arnold Donald purchased our company in 2006 but it is not listed. Would like to put it on your map. How best to do that?
