Rita Hall started her career as an artist in Israel 35 years ago. After working in Scotland and finally the U.S. where she got her BFA from Parsons School of Design, she switched careers. For 4 years she was an engineer, producer and on-air host for listener-sponsored radio station WBAI where she created cultural and political programming. Following a maternity hiatus, she began designing food, home, science and entertainment sections for Newsday, where she worked for more than 20 years.
