It’s clear that there’s been about enough of the Bubba Factor for U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

She was competitive enough to play quarterback in her brothers’ football games. She had political ambitions, but couldn’t go after them because women simply weren’t allowed in big league politics in her prime.

First Mel Martinez said in December that he wouldn’t run for a second term as the only Republican Hispanic in the U.S. Senate.

Sam Sifton looks like a good guy. But as he gets ready to begin his new job as the hired gut of The New York Times, that’s caused a minor controversy.

CNN’s Lou Dobbs has estranged himself from his audience in relentlessly beating the birther story.
