Arts leaders resign from Trump panel

The remaining members of the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities resigned Friday, in protest of President Trump’s comments about the violence in Charlottesville, VA.

Other members, appointed by President Obama, had resigned earlier, rather than serve in the Trump administration.

The White House issued a statement saying Trump had planned to disband the group, which hadn’t met during his tenure.

As the partial Muckety map above shows, the panel wasn’t exactly a hotbed of Trump support.
