Huntsman nominated as ambassador to Russia

Donald Trump has nominated former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr. to be U.S. ambassador to Russia.

Huntsman, a presidential candidate in 2012, was ambassador to China during the Obama presidency. He has also served as deputy trade representative and as a deputy assistant secretary of Commerce.

Huntsman chairs the Atlantic Council, a think tank focusing on international affairs. On today’s agenda at the council: a program called “Russia Sanctions Revisited.”
