Jack Abramoff, a lobbyist who served four years in prison for bribing public officials, tried unsuccessfully to arrange a conversation between an African leader and Donald Trump, Bloomberg reports.

A document released by the U.S. Justice Department indicates that Abramoff reported that he tried to garner U.S. support for establishing a coalition of African states to combat Islamic extremist groups. He called on his old friend, Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA), for help.
