The interactive Muckety map above shows some of the most influential speakers at the World Economic Forum this week in Davos, Switzerland.
The annual meeting brings together the elite of business and foreign relations - the embodiment of the global power structure Trump repeatedly derided on the campaign trail.
Yet Anthony Scaramucci, the president-elect’s director of public liaison, traveled to Davos to tell other attendees, “Trump could be one of the last great hopes for globalization.”
He maintained: “If you can create rising wages in the US, you can create more purchasing power. And that virtuous circle of consumption will lead to global trade, and it will lead to more global peace, and more global prosperity.”
Scaramucci also addressed other widely held concerns about the incoming president, saying he didn’t want a trade war with China or an end to NATO or the European Union.
