It’s beginning to seem that the connections to Russia are inescapable.
Morgan Lewis, the firm handling Donald Trump’s arrangements for handling his business affairs during his tenure in the White House, was chosen last year as “Russia Law Firm of the Year.”
The firm maintains a Moscow office, which has advised a major Russian bank on U.S./European sanctions. Its other clients in Russia have included ExxonMobil, the oil and gas company formerly headed by Trump’s nominee for secretary of state, Rex Tillerson.
Morgan Lewis is an international firm, with offices in the U.S., Europe, Asia and the Mideast. It launched its Moscow presence in 2012, after acquiring the office of bankrupt Dewey & LeBoeuf.
In the U.S., the firm is a registered lobbyist for Google, NetChoice, Vonage and Wells Fargo.
