Warburg Pincus announced Saturday that former Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner is joining the company.

Geithner will begin as president and managing director of the private equity firm in March.

Geithner, who was president and CEO of the New York Fed before joining the Obama administration, is certainly not the only former Treasury secretary to join the financial sector.

The interactive Muckety map above shows some of the others. (Dotted lines represent former relationships; solid lines are current ties.)

John Snow, Treasury secretary under George W. Bush, is chairman of another private equity firm, Cerberus Capital Management.

Robert Rubin, secretary in both Clinton administrations, chaired Citigroup after leaving Treasury. Another Treasury secretary under Clinton, Lawrence Summers, is a consultant with NASDAQ OMX, D.E. Shaw and Citigroup.

George Shultz, Treasury secretary under President Nixon and later Secretary of State under President Reagan, chairs the J.P. Morgan Chase International Council.
