The ultimate ‘Breaking Bad’ relationship map

Hank Schrader and map of suspects

If only Hank had used Muckety, instead of string, thumb tacks and a bulletin board, things might have turned out differently.

We’ll find out tonight how “Breaking Bad” ends. (If you’re not caught up, you should stop reading here.)

The Muckety map below shows connections among many of the show’s characters. Mouse over connecting lines to see relationships. Double-click on boxes with + signs to get more information. (The large view gives you more elbow room.)

Walter White, as you can see, has more connections in the map than anyone else.

The map focuses on the main characters and who killed whom. Over the course of five seasons, cast members have died by bullet, shiv, poison, explosion, decapitation, vomit and bike lock. We’re braced for at least one more death tonight.

Walt’s brother-in-law, Hank, has already met his maker, having been shot in the head by the leader of a white supremacist gang.

Ultimately, it was not the Muckety-like map on the bulletin board that led Hank to finger Walt as a homicidal drug kingpin. It was an inscription in a copy of Walt Whitman’s “Leaves of Grass.”

Talk about old technologies.

Our uninformed, unsolicited prediction for tonight: Holly dies.

Post-finale update: Thankfully, we were completely wrong.
