Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter, again

By Laurie Bennett

June 27, 2013 at 6:20am

They’re perfect for each other, in a wild-eyed, painted-faced, bizarre sort of way.

They even look alike.

Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter are co-starring in their sixth joint effort, “The Lone Ranger.”

Depp is Tonto to Armie Hammer’s Ranger. Carter plays a madam.

Unlike the other movies Depp and Carter have done together, this one was not directed by her partner, Tim Burton.

Yet it bears many of the same characteristics. Outlandish makeup. Eccentric (to say the least) personalities.

Indeed, Carter has said she had to do the movie because it required her to store a gun in her pegleg. Depp says that in his childhood days of playing cowboys and Indians, “never once did I want to be the cowboy.”

“The Lone Ranger” opens on July 3.
