Former model Pattie Boyd would figure prominently in many rock-and-roll Muckety maps.
She was the first wife of Beatle George Harrison, having met him when she was cast as a schoolgirl in “A Hard Day’s Night.”
She divorced Harrison 11 years later, attributing the breakup to his infidelities.
In 1979, Boyd married Eric Clapton. They split 10 years later.
“I wish I’d known I didn’t have to be a doormat and allow both husbands to be so flagrantly faithless,” she would write in her 2007 memoir, “Wonderful Today: George Harrison, Eric Clapton, and Me.”
Clapton later dated Sheryl Crow, fiance of cyclist Lance Armstrong before his fall from grace. The engagement ended after five months. Armstrong would later say that Crow was ready to have kids, while he was not.
