Ambassador-bundlers again contributing to Obama

They’re an elite group: wealthy individuals who raised money for the Obama 2008 campaign and later received White House appointments to ambassador posts.

Several are now making generous contributions toward Obama’s re-election efforts.

The Muckety map above shows five such supporters - U.S. ambassadors to the European Union, Portugal, Finland, Canada and the United Nations.

Here’s a list of their contributions in 2011-2012 to the Obama Victory Fund 2012 and Obama for America:

Spouses have also chipped in. For instance, John Donahoe, husband of Eileen Chamberlain Donahoe and CEO of eBay, gave $35,800 in September.

Cody Oreck, wife of Bruce Oreck, ambassador to Finland, contributed $35,800 in October.
