The Associated Press notes that Comcast spent $5.7 million in the first quarter of this year to lobby for federal approval of its takeover of NBC Universal.

The deal was approved in January, enabling Comcast to take a majority stake in the joint venture, with plans to buy the remainder in the future. General Electric is now a minority partner.

The Muckety map above shows the bevy of lobby shops working for Comcast. We also point out the hiring of FCC Commissioner Meredith Attwell Baker, who voted in favor of the merger.
