Just because it’s August, when the Hamptons become Muckety-muck central, we’ve mapped the Hearsts.
A “bubbly” Amanda Hearst graces the pages of the current Vanity Fair, lounging on the family’s Hamptons estate. The manse features marble mantelpieces acquired by Amanda’s great-grandfather, newspaper baron William Randolph, for his castle at San Simeon, CA.
Amanda’s mother, Anne, is a daughter of the late Randolph Hearst and wife of novelist Jay McInerney.
As sometimes happens when moneyed families hold onto their fortunes, the Hearst progeny get better looking with each generation.
Amanda, No. 7 on Forbes’ list of Hottest Billionaire Heiresses, has modeled for Lilly Pulitzer. Her cousin, Lydia Hearst-Shaw, has modeled for Louis Vuitton and Prada.
Lydia is the daughter of Patty Hearst, another daughter of Randolph, best known as the kidnap-victim-turned-member of the Symbionese Liberation Army.
Lydia is an occasional actress, having appeared on Gossip Girl and in the 2008 movie, Frost.
