Ira Sorkin, the attorney representing accused swindler Bernard L. Madoff, invested $18,860 with Madoff’s firm in the early 1990s, but believes he transferred the money elsewhere in 1995, reports the Wall Street Journal. Federal prosecutors said they don’t view that as a conflict of interest.
