Reality TV and failed relationships connect Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson to Sylvester Stallone.

The Rocky star is the ex-husband of Brigitte Nielsen, the Danish model and actress who made her way back to the spotlight on VH1’s reality show for celebrity has-beens, Surreal Life.

While filming Surreal Life, Nielsen started dating Public Enemy rapper Flavor Flav. Their bizarre coupling sparked a spin-off reality series, Strange Love.

After splitting with Nielsen, Flavor Flav went on to star in his own reality dating show, Flavor of Love, which ran for three seasons. One contestant, Tiffany “New York” Pollard, received her own contract for a spin-off reality dating show after losing the competition for Flavor Flav’s affection in both seasons one and two of Flavor of Love.

David Otunga, nicknamed “Punk” on the show, was a finalist on I Love New York’s second season. Although he didn’t win the heart of Tiffany Pollard, he is currently engaged to singer Jennifer Hudson.
