Barack Obama on Monday announced Hillary Rodham Clinton as his nominee for secretary of state. He also named James Jones as national security adviser, Eric Holder as attorney general, Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano as the secretary of homeland security and Susan Rice as U.N. ambassador. He has asked Defense Secretary Robert Gates to stay on.
