Edward E. Kaufman, a former adviser to Vice President-elect Joe Biden, has been chosen to replace him in the Senate, reports The Hill . The placeholder pick would allow Biden’s son, state Attorney General Beau Biden to run for the seat in 2010 when he returns from Iraq.
