Tumult surrounds Sumner Redstone these days, and the least of it may be his pending divorce.
Redstone, 85, filed for divorce Friday from his wife, 46-year-old Paula Fortunato Redstone. The two, who married five years ago, have a settlement agreement, AP reports.
Forbes last month estimated Redstone’s worth at $5.1 billion, an amount that has likely dropped with the financial crisis.

Redstone last week was forced to sell $233 million worth of CBS and Viacom stock to meet financing requirements of a $1.6 billion loan to his theater chain, National Amusements.
His daughter Shari, who heads National Amusements, followed up with a statement saying the business wasn’t to blame for the stock sale.
The Wall Street Journal reported that Shari Redstone was sensitive to criticism from her father, who is said to differ with her over the future of movie theaters.
Sumner Redstone told CNBC today that negotiations for refinancing the loan were progressing. He said he would not sell any more Viacom or CBS stock.
