Christina Aguilera croons to infant son in Rock the Vote video

Max Liron Bratman is making his public service announcement debut at age five months. The son of Grammy-winner Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman will join his famous mother in the Rock the Vote campaign this August.

In the public service announcement, Aguilera sings America the Beautiful to her son, who is wrapped in an American flag.

Aguilera explained that putting her son in the public eye at his young age did not upset her because it was for a good cause. She told the Los Angeles Times, “This election in particular is such an exciting and historical one, and so I was proud to have my son and I stand together for such a powerful moment and message in time.”

It’s been 18 years since the launch of Rock the Vote, making the organization now voting age itself. Aguilera joins a long list of celebrities who have worked with Rock the Vote to encourage young people to participate in elections, including Snoop Dogg, Eddie Vedder, Queen Latifah, Diddy and Madonna.

The tone of Aguilera’s PSA will be a far cry from the organization’s first publicly released video in 1990, in which Madonna wears almost nothing but the American flag.

This is the second time this week that Aguilera’s son has made headlines. On Tuesday, People magazine reported the infant’s attendance at Gwen Stefani’s son’s birthday party, where he was joined by fellow celebrity children Harlow Winter Kate Madden and Cruz Beckham.
