Muckety this! Rosie O’Donnell to Richard Nixon

Politics, personality and time would have prevented them from ever becoming chums.

Nevertheless, the line between the liberal talk-show host and the Republican president is short and straight.

O’Donnell is a former resident of the Apthorp apartment building on Manhattan’s west side. So is writer Nora Ephron, who was married to Carl Bernstein, formerly of the Washington Post.

Bernstein and fellow reporter Bob Woodward broke stories uncovering Watergate, which led to the end of Nixon’s presidency.
