Stocks columnist Jim Cramer has re-upped with TheStreet.com, signing an employment agreement that will pay a minimum of $4.8 million over the next three years, not including bonuses and stock options.
Cramer’s contract had expired at the end of 2007, and negotiations reportedly were rocky. Temporary extensions were granted twice until a final agreement could be reached.
Cramer is a co-founder, stockholder and columnist of TheStreet.com. He’s also host of CNBC’s Mad Money. The contract, filed yesterday with the SEC, enables him to continue pursuing these and other outside pursuits, but prohibits him from working for competing online financial media.
