ABC’s hit show Lost is now on hiatus after an eight-episode run that was an oasis of scripted television after the writers’ strike.
The first half of season four brought some answers and more questions to Lost fans, and introduced many new characters. Here are the most important developments of the fourth season: Hint: Click in map to explore connectionsStory continues below interactive map
· The Oceanic Six: Viewers were introduced to flash-forwards, which show our characters in the future, after they’ve returned to life off the island. The Oceanic Six, the group of survivors who eventually return to civilization, include: Kate, Aaron, Jack, Sayid, Hurley and Sun.
· Charles Widmore: Penelope’s father is turning into a major power player. We’ve found out that he is trying to find the island and he’s looking for Benjamin Linus. He put together a crew of people for his freighter, including Daniel Faraday, Frank Lapidus, George Minkowski, Miles Straume, Charlotte Lewis, Naomi Dorrit and Captain Gault.
· Kevin Johnson: A reappearance from Michael, who we haven’t seen since season two, reveals that he is also on Charles Widmore’s boat, working as a spy for Ben. Feeling guilty after killing Libby and Ana Lucia, Michael is convinced that he can save the lives of the rest of the survivors of flight 815 if he helps Ben fight off Charles Widmore and his crew.
· Jin Kwon: The major reveal of the newest episodes of Lost may be that Jin does not survive to see the birth of his baby. Although it’s unclear how Jin dies, Sun returns from the island alone. As we warned in this post from Oct. 25, the actors who have been arrested for DUI in Hawaii while filming Lost have been killed off the show!
New episodes return on Thursday, April 24.
