Dell is paying $155 million for MessageOne, a software firm founded by Michael Dell’s younger brother Adam.

The whole family will benefit from the deal, because Michael, his wife Susan, and his parents, Alexander and Lorraine, invested in the company.

According to documents filed today with the SEC, Adam will reap nearly $1 million from the sale. His parents will receive $450,000. Michael and Susan Dell are expected to get $12 million, but have said they will donate the proceeds to charity.

Michael Dell did not take part in the sale negotiations or the negotiations to buy MessageOne, the company said.

MessageOne sells email management and emergency communications services.
